John began working with Jon Bullock back in 2000 when John was a senior and Jon was his advisor for a Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) program. John would graduate from the University of Oregon where he played for the Champion Ducks football team of the then Pac-10 Conference, earning academic honors on the team and being inducted into the University of Oregon sports Hall of Fame in the fall of 2014 with the rest of his Fiesta Bowl Championship teammates.
Driven by a passion to work fighting to raise money for families of sick kids that couldn't otherwise help themselves, John would go to work for the same CMN Hospital that he grew to love in his work with Jon Bullock. This role would see John working with student organizations in 18 area high schools as well as at THE Oregon State University and his alma mater UO. He was in charge of running CMNH national campaigns on a local level with major corporations such as Walmart, Costco, Rite Aid, Dairy Queen, etc. with some campaigns double year-over-year.
When he moved on from the children's hospital in Eugene, Oregon, John co-launched his own video marketing company with his business partner and fellow Jon-Bullock-CMNH-alum, Travis Worrell. While they contract a wide range of business models from international motorcycle companies to eyewear companies, et al they've remained true to their philanthropic roots and specialize in working with children's charities, donating most of their services.
In his spare time, John also volunteers on a Board of Directors for charter schools in Redmond, Oregon. Their board work has seen the genesis of proficiency based learning in the area and continues to grow, finding even more effective practices for evaluating their faculty as well as their students.
